Abstract

This paper examines the relevance of psychological or psychiatric expertise in the socialadministration of children and adolescents in the institutional care in Germany between the 1950s and the 1960s. Therefore, the article reconstructs the administrative action from two file records and analyzes the relevance of medical reports in these cases.
