Abstract

Some peculiarities of Posidippus’ epigram 13 seem to refer to a regality of Alexander using a symbology of oriental origin, in parallel with epigram 65 and in tune with Lysippus’ celebratory sculpture. The text could confirm once more an investiture of the sovereign free from apotheosis.
