Abstract

Vaccine hesitancy poses a real threat to public health. This threat is often met by states with the introduction of mandatory vaccination programs. When introducing such mandatory vaccination programs, states are bound by human rights. This article gives an overview of the applicable limitations inherent in the European Convention on Human Rights and the case-law of the European Court of Human Rights.
