Abstract

This paper discusses the involvement of seers in medical activities in the context of the ancient Babylonian society. It shows how the oracle procedure was often performed with the aim of providing prognostication services to suffering patients. In addition, this paper shows that diagnosis and medical treatment were also dealt with by oracle experts.
