Abstract

The SAHI Tell Jokha Project has researched a site where, according to current scientific research, a Sumerian settlement dominated in the 3rd millennium BCE. The first season of this project took place in 2016 and the second at the end of 2017. The research was carried out by SAHI, in cooperation with SBAH – Iraq. The Tell Jokha site can be considered to be the Sumerian royal city of Umma.
